Today In History: Texas lawn dart.

A Concorde jet, Air France Flight 4590, augered in, hitting a hotel in Gonesse, France, and marking the end of the first successful attempt at commercial supersonic air travel.

...as opposed to Delta, who changed their motto to 'We get you close!' after flight 191 slapped the ground, a water tank, and a Toyota on the highway.
